It’s about time.

Bruce Feldman of ESPN is reporting that Randy Shannon has signed a 4 year contract. This news is relieving to say the least. Coach Shannon has brought in a ridiculous amount of talent and has Miami back on the rise. With one year left on his contract heading into the season, the lack of an extension was a major cause for concern in the minds of recruits. The handling of this contract could have been used as a negative recruiting tactic from other schools. With this issue finally behind wrapped up and behind us the coaches can focus on the season. Administration fumbled the ball on this one by taking so long but at least it has finally been settled.

The University of Miami football program is the very best college for pipe lining prospects into the NFL. ESPN is doing some sort of bracket to try and find this out. But come on…no seriously, come on…everyone already knows this bracket is just silly. The only reason we are even paying attention to it is the off chance they actually don’t have Miami winning it. I know they have Miami as the 2 seed and USC as the 1. But as I said before…come on.


I just saw this on proCanes and got a little nervous. If you were in Baltimore and saw a street sign for Ray Lewis Way #52 would you find an alternate route or decide to take your chances going down this street? Although Martin Luther King streets are usually full of violence so maybe this route will also have an opposite affect and will be surprisingly pleasant.
