The Hurricanes reeled in a third Defensive Tackle commitment recently. Tavadis Glenn from Terry Parker High School in Jacksonville became the fifth Hurricane commitment of the 2010 Signing Class, all of which are from the state of Florida. Glenn is somewhat undersized for a Defensive Tackle at 6’5 and 265 lbs but has plenty of room to grow into his tall frame. He finished his junior year with 40 tackles and 6 sacks. Glenn is rated as a three star player by scout.com and a four star player by rivals.com.
Glenn has received offers from schools such as USC, LSU, Florida and other powerhouse teams. But Tavadis Glenn has committed to Miami and is a rock solid commitment.
I’m not considering anyone else, it’s solid.
Miami has really loaded up on young Defensive Tackles and that will clearly be one of the strengths of this young team in the coming years.
Johnathan Feliciano received a Miami offer today and committed on the spot. He grew up a big Hurricane fan in Davie, Florida playing for Western High School and has grown into a big time Offensive Tackle prospect. And now his dream has come true.
I’m 100 percent done for Miami. Miami was my top school all along, my dream school.
Feliciano is a 6’4 285 pound Lineman with big time potential. His only other offers were from Akron and Indiana, but it appears that Miami found a sleeper. Although he has not got the attention of some of the blue chip Offensive Tackles around the country, his tape is as impressive as they come. He has great athleticism showing the ability to get to the second level and take on Linebackers. He has great hand placement and even better footwork. He is excellent at pass blocking and devastating when run blocking. He doesn’t bring the hype that some other recruits have but this is a big time Offensive Tackle which is a position that Miami must improve at over the next recruiting class. Great get for the Canes.

He is #76 playing Left Tackle in the video.

Johnathan Feliciano is the fourth commitment in this recruiting class so far for the Canes. Feliciano joins Shane McDermott, Louis Nix, and Todd Chandler. McDermott is a Guard from Wellington, Florida who has received offers from USF, West Virginia, UCF, and others. Louis Nix plays for Raines High School from Jacksonville and Todd Chandler plays for the Bulls of Miami Northwestern. Nix and Chandler are two of the most touted Defensive Tackles in the country. Nix has received already received offers from Florida, Florida State, Notre Dame, North Carolina and a number of other schools. Todd Chandler also has an impressive list of offers from Florida, Florida State, North Carolina, Clemson and more despite missing the majority of his junior season due to injury. This is shaping up to be a very impressive class so far with the Canes making a stance on improving on both sides of the Line of Scrimmage.
